RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of a new Community Childcare Service for the community of Fedamore and surrounds.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant Level 7 professional qualification in Early Childhood Studies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of childcare development principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of childcare government funded programmes.
  • Extensive knowledge of services and supports available to childcare settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of the statutory and community services that operate in the childcare /early childhood education area.

The After-School Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and quality delivery of an after-school childcare service. The role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, managing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and building positive relationships with children, families, schools, and the local community.

Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the after-school service
  • Lead, supervise, and support after-school staff and volunteers

  • Process registrations, attendance records, and changes to childcare arrangements in accordance with NCS guidelines
  • Liaise with parents regarding NCS applications, eligibility, and funding queries where required
  • Use childcare management and family payment software to manage family accounts, fee invoicing, payments, credits, and account reconciliations
  • Monitor outstanding payments and communicate professionally with families regarding account balances
  • Generate financial and attendance reports for management and regulatory purposes
  • Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with GDPR and organisational policies
  • Support audits, inspections, and funding reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and records
