We are recruiting an Administrative & Childminding Support Worker (maternity cover, 12 months) to assist in the delivery of actions in the Limerick Childcare Committee Local Implementation Plan 2026/2027 and the National Childminding Action Plan. The role includes:
- Administration associated with the Childcare Funding Programmes
- Working with the Childminding Development Officer to provide support, advice and information to Childminders
- Providing information and dealing with general queries
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, telephone, written communication and organisational skills and will be proficient in IT and administration, having experience in data management, spreadsheets, email, etc. Experience working with adults in a support role and a childcare qualification are essential.
The post will be based at the offices of Limerick Childcare Committee in Croom Mills, Croom, Co. Limerick. The Administrative & Childminding Support Worker will report to the Manager of Limerick Childcare Committee. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave for 12 months, commencing late July 2026.
